We are looking for an individual to drive our manufacturing operations and technical support team to deliver our data collection devices, including online, walk around, and wireless to customers on a global basis. This is a “roll up your sleeves” role that requires a high level of attention to detail and interaction across multiple departments. You will have a team of 2 technical support technicians, 2 manufacturing technicians and 1 shipping administrator.

This position is on-site at our Poulsbo, WA office.


· Interfaces with development department to provide new cost estimates, existing product change requirements ensuring smooth transition of new/modified hardware from development to production.

· Coordinates supplier relations, including price negotiations, qualifying vendors, and quality assurance.

· Reviews hardware designs to ensure that they meet requirements for timing, parts selection, packaging design and manufacturability.

· Schedules manufacturing activities including supplier timing, internal fabrication, and assembly requirements.

· This includes resolving manufacturing process improvement issues, assigning work and reviewing manufacturing documentation.

· Manages sales order processing and ensure shipments are sent on time.

· Maintains inventory levels and schedules purchasing and deliveries to match manufacturing flow and projections.

· Run monthly metrics (i.e. average repair time, average lead time, order quantities, and order quantities by type).

· Implements overall manufacturing cost reduction including inventory reduction methods, outsourcing of non-critical tasks.

· Establishes policies and procedures as needed to maintain inventory control and ensure efficient functioning of the manufacturing/production department.

· Initiates troubleshooting by investigating and eliminating the cause of hardware defects and design failures with engineers.

· Provides executive management with all pertinent department information for support of long-term business development.

· Participates with determining appropriate sales and support strategies.

· Participates with management group for developing annual business and department budgets, operating and strategic plans.

· Manages all department personnel, including job role definition, training, hiring, performance appraisals, wage determination, and career development. Manages all technical service cases and escalates issues to various departments

· Acts as top-level technical support, interacting with customers to resolve cases as needed

Essential Functions

Combination of education and experience required

· 2 – 4 years’ experience in a leadership role in manufacturing, logistics or similar department

· Advanced degree in engineering related discipline preferred

· Working knowledge of mechanical repair and assembly techniques for electronics and components required

· Ability to plan and organize workflow for manufacturing, control methods, and understands inventory maintenance principles

· Working knowledge of electronic components, packaging and current vendors and suppliers

· Experience with Supply Chain Management preferred

· Understanding of company sales strategy and customer support principles

· Understanding of project management principles

· Experience with accounting, CRM, and inventory software suites highly desired (NetSuite and Salesforce)

· Highly skilled in gathering data and creating metrics

· Experience with agile project management software (JIRA)

· Experience with collaboration and management workspace (ATLASSIAN, Yammer, Teams)

· Expert in Microsoft products; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

· Exceptional organizational and communication skills

· Strong leader with the ability to foster team spirit
